Elk Grove REIA March Meeting: When buying Sacramento Real Estate do you think about your liability?

March 22, 2010 Upcoming Events

Do you have a Get out of Jail Free Card?

Our job as Investors is to pick up as many properties as we can at a discounted price. But… have you ever thought about the potential liability you are taking along with it.

If you read the FBI fraud reports on their website, there is more-and-more mentions of Short Sales deals gone wrong. Many of them involved an Investor. In fact, if you read the FBI’s mortgage fraud report 08, it mentions transactions for primary residences are less likely to be an issue of fraud when compared to an Investor.

Knowing the potential liability for an investment home purchase is just as important as running your cash flow numbers!

Join us for this month’s club meeting for a candid conversation with a local real estate attorney.

We will be covering liabilities concerns regarding:
  • Subject-to purchases
  • Short sale negotiating and purchase transactions
  • Bank owned home purchases and disclosures
  • Negotiating Owner financing
  • Buying a home at the Trustee or Auction sale
Bring your questions and scenarios and join us for a lively discussion about how each of us can stay out of trouble!
